Resettlement Services
the nia project offers move-on support within our housing services: Women who have resided in our refuges are offered support for up to six months after they leave the organisation. This specific support is provided in the form of The Resettlement Service. This service provides support for women leaving our refuges and moving out into temporary or permanent accommodation.
The Resettlement Worker offers support with housing, welfare rights, debt, education, employment and many other issues. As well as this one to one service, the resettlement worker organizes women’s participation meetings where residents and ex-residents meet to discuss Nia Project Services, take part in workshops or socialize. This year workshops have covered topics such as; Domestic Violence, Employment and Leisure.
